For the databases I currently have in mind, I'd need a minimum of three root nodes and some databases might have several. The child nodes might filter an individual record or multiple records depending on the group. The root nodes probably wouldn't filter anything. Each group of nodes would need to filter a different field on the form. To give you an idea of what I'm trying to accomplish, I want a treeview control that can filter a form when you click on the nodes. Exporting/Importing the modules and subform is easy enough, but it seems like there's still a bunch of coding that needs to be done.

Treeview vba how to#
The demo is great for seeing what the control looks like, but it doesn't actually teach anyone that's a complete novice how to implement it on another database. So I'd really like to learn how to use the VBA treeview if possible, but I'd probably need a step by step tutorial. I also worry about future compatibility issues based on some of the things I've read about ActiveX treeview controls.

However, I find it a bit ugly compared to the VBA treeview demo, and there doesn't seem to be an easy way(for me) to change the background color or change the expander icons. I've been trying to learn how to use the ActiveX treeview with limited success. I downloaded the version for access and played around with the demo a bit, but I confess I'm completely lost on how to implement it on my own databases. I found this forum through " onclick="window.open(this.href) return false when I was looking at the all VBA treeview. I just joined this forum and I use Access 2013.
